The result of decades of continuous development, EVO represents the highest expression of Campetella’s know-how in the development of control units for industrial robots.
With state-of-the-art hardware and software, EVO delivers the highest level of performance, functionality and control for X-Series and E-Series robots.   • The evolution of human–machine interaction: the EVO console
    Simple and immediate dialogue with the robot is the basis for a more practical and satisfying user experience. Campetella’s deep understanding of customer needs has made it possible to develop a human–machine interface that is exceptionally clear and intuitive.
    This portable console is lightweight and ergonomic, and features a high-quality 7″ TFT touchscreen that displays all robot parameters in real time. It also includes a physical keypad with buttons dedicated to controlling the robot’s main functions — a highly practical feature in industrial environments.
    The console is also equipped with a USB port, which can be used for programme backup and for updating Campetella software, which is continuously developed with new functions.

  • Advanced hardware for interpolated axis control
    At the heart of the EVO unit is an industrial motion controller featuring a powerful microprocessor capable of controlling up to 32 interpolated axes via a modern EtherCAT bus. This system enables instant data exchange with brushless servo motor drives, allowing the robot to perform even highly complex trajectories and multitasking functions without delay.
    High computing power is combined with large memory capacity, useful for storing a wide range of robot programmes.

  • Maximum connectivity to external peripherals
    The control unit is equipped with multiple communication interfaces for sensors and peripheral devices outside the robot. It is highly scalable with additional I/O boards and fully controllable via the EVO console.

  • Always one step ahead: Campetella Industry 4.0
    Production data and information management is playing an increasingly important role, enabling new business models with higher levels of productivity and quality. The EVO control unit can be equipped with the Campetella I4.0 package, consisting of a router and software designed for monitoring and bidirectional information exchange between the robot and a remote computer.

  • EVO software programmability
    EVO software has been developed over many years to support even the most complex automation processes. It is continuously expanded with new, ready-to-use functions arranged in an extensive library, making robot programming easy to understand and simple to use.
    Basic take-out and placing cycles can be created almost instantly using a guided wizard supported by helpful graphical animations. More advanced programmes can be built using a powerful editor, which is also intuitive and includes self-learning functions.
    Your operators will soon be able to modify and optimise robot cycles independently, saving even the final hundredths of a second.

  • Self-monitoring and remote assistance from Campetella Service
    The EVO control unit makes it possible to achieve maximum performance while also focusing on the condition and service life of the robot. Based on continuously monitored cycles and distance travelled, it informs you in good time when maintenance is required, helping to extend the machine’s service life.
    Any anomalies are immediately detected by the self-diagnostic system, and the most common error codes are always reported. For any further support request, the complete robot status can also be backed up to a flash drive and sent to the Campetella Service team.

  • Environmental protection and energy savings
    We respect our planet. The intelligent EVO hardware and software package enables significant optimisation of energy consumption. Particularly noteworthy are:
    KERS technology: a special drive architecture, with interconnected drives, enables the recovery of kinetic energy from braking axes and its use by other axes in motion.


    Dynamic Vacuum: a dynamic vacuum control system for part holding that reduces compressed air consumption.
    Jog Over: optimisation of robot cycles outside the moulding machine, automatically reducing robot speed and consumption without any impact on the overall cycle time.

The source of PRIME control

For those focused on the essentials, PRIME is a robot control unit developed specifically to deliver a high level of functionality with the best possible price-to-quality ratio.
PRIME combines advanced technology with a high degree of integration, ensuring compactness, practicality and reliability. With its minimalist design and the use of premium materials, the unit delivers excellent robot performance at an accessible price.

  • All the benefits of simplicity: the PRIME console
    Through close contact with the industrial reality of its customers, Campetella understands that practicality is essential in production environments. That is why the PRIME console has been designed to be exceptionally compact and lightweight, yet robust and functional.
    Its durable carbon fibre structure houses a 4.3″ colour TFT display, providing a clear real-time overview of all robot parameters. The controls are entirely physical — backlit buttons and a rotary selector for fast menu navigation, ready for immediate use directly on the production floor.
    The console is also equipped with a USB port, which can be used for programme backup and for updating Campetella software, which is continuously developed with new functions.

  • Maximum hardware integration for high performance at reduced cost
    The PRIME unit is equipped with a CPU based on a modern architecture, capable of handling the graphical interface with maximum fluidity while simultaneously controlling the robot’s brushless servo motors.
    This highly integrated, low-power solution defines a control system focused on maximising performance while reducing cost. The system’s internal memory capacity allows 99 different programmes to be stored, which can also be backed up to an external flash drive.

    Although more limited in scope than the more advanced EVO control unit, PRIME enables the management of external digital signals and control of the main peripheral devices outside the robot, such as conveyors and user safety signalling.

    PRIME software adopts the main functions developed for the top-level EVO console and includes everything needed for fast and precise creation of take-out, placing and palletising programmes.
    It is based on a range of simple, intuitive and ready-to-use functions organised in an extensive library, so robot management requires no specialist knowledge.
